Two West Country photographers bring together a creative and fascinating collection of captivating images.
For one it’s all about careful composition, warm tonal qualities and a passion for subject matter from times past. For the other it’s the challenge of a dramatic battle between light and dark, teasing the viewer with still life images that push toward abstraction.
The result is two sets of enthralling photographs.
Issy Harnett has previously exhibited at various locations in the UK and abroad, including a major group exhibition in Mexico City and the Museum of Guanajuato, as well as having her work shown in the Royal Photographic Society’s Journal. Issy currently lives in Devon but also spends part of the year in Mexico.
Richard Lawrence is based in Somerset but travels all over the South West for his photography. This will be the fourth time he has participated in exhibiting publicly, the last being in The Hyde at Dillington House. He has two further exhibitions booked for 2020 and can also be found on his facebook photography page.
The exhibition runs from 2 Sep – 5 Oct 2019 in the gallery at The Beehive. Free entry.
