Honiton Camera Club is celebrating its 50th Anniversary next month. To mark this remarkable event they are displaying 70 prints taken by their members in the Beehive. These will be on display until 4th October. Everyone is invited to pop in and view their work; local scenes and further afield are on display and we hope you will write your comments in the book which is in the gallery.
A lot of people have been to see this really beautiful selection of stunning prints in the Beehive gallery and commented on how high the quality is and the lovely variety of subjects photographed.
On Friday 2nd October at 7.30 at the Methodist Hall, Off New Street, Honiton, the camera club are holding an ‘Open Evening’ in which they are inviting the public to come along, chat to members, discuss photography, and have a good evening. Light refreshments will be on offer, as is viewing of equipment and photographs. They are also displaying their silverware which members hope to win at the end of the year competitions. Do come along and support your town’s Camera Club, you never know, you may want to join their happy band!
They are a very friendly group, who meet once a fortnight, from September to June. They hold competitions, critiques and ‘hands on’ sessions i.e. using your camera. They learn and support each other and have a good time. So, if you are interested in photography, have a camera, why not join them at the start of our new season – who knows, perhaps you will win a trophy, and you will surely make new friends.
