Michael Perry Photography: Footsteps & Memories 14 – 29 Nov

Mike’s primary occupation is in catering.  His career has taken him all over the world from top restaurants in London to the glistening waters of Hawkes Bay in New Zealand and the enchanting Irrawaddy River in the ancient land of Burma, where he was lucky enough to work as Executive Chef aboard the Orient Express Cruiser “The Road to Mandalay”.

Born in Bridgwater, Somerset, Mike’s roots always remained firmly in the South West of England and therefore, it came as no surprise to those that knew him that he settled back in the South West where he is currently head chef at the Greyhound Country Inn in Fenny Bridges.

On his days off, Mike heads off into the great outdoors with his camera in tow.  He is an active member of the Hawk and Owl Trust, RSPB and Somerset Otter Group and has a huge passion and flair for wildlife and nature photography with a sharp eye for detail, enabling him to “capture the moment”.  From the skies above us to the ground beneath our feet, Mike rarely misses an opportunity to capture anything exciting and unusual with his lens.

Footsteps and Memories is Mike’s first exhibition and he is delighted to present this medley of photos from four of his collections:

  • Flights of fancy
  • Lakes and cascades
  • It’s a bug’s life
  • Stop and smell the roses

Mike hopes you enjoy sharing his view of the ever changing natural world as seen through his lens.
