OCEANS ENERGY: WORKS OF LYNSEY JAMES
Monday 30 July – Saturday 25 August 2018.
As part of Lynsey James’ continuing summer exhibition tour of the South West of England, she is delighted to confirm that a selection of works from her current Oceanic series will be on display at The Beehive from Monday 30 July – Saturday 25 August 2018.
The abstract ever-changing reality of the natural world is a constant source of inspiration for Lynsey James’ paintings. Her current work captures the essence of the movement of oceanic waters through her own personal connection and experiences of the sea environment.
This latest series of work draws upon the dynamic movement of oceanic waters. Using water-based media on both canvas and paper and employing subtle technique she has intuitively created her own, unique interpretation of the vibrant energy underlying the timeless movement of water. Various blue hues in the work convey a deeper Spiritual element associated with this energy.
The depth of colour and energy expressed in each work coalesces to evoke a sense of wellbeing, happiness and positivity encouraging a process of perceptual participation between the observer and the painting.
Visit the exhibition during The Beehive opening hours:
Mon-Fri: 10am – 5.30pm, Sat: 10am – 12pm and 1 hour before evening performances.
