Three Honiton venues work together for Spring Fair

Three venues have joined together to bring the first Spring Fair to Honiton on Saturday 22 April.

Artisans and makers will be selling their gifts and crafts in the magical gardens of THG (Thelma Hulbert Gallery) and Toast Café. Visitors will be able to browse an exquisite selection of wares including jewellery, textiles, willow work, glass, wood, wirework, ceramics, preserves and plants.

Later in the afternoon at 3.30pm, the Beehive Honiton will be featuring an enchanting family show ‘According to Arthur’ featuring a dazzling mix of puppetry, music and mime. A heart-warming tale brought to life by Exeter’s Paddleboat Theatre Company.

Joe McCaig, from Toast Café, said: “We are hoping to create the feel of a vibrant flea market throughout the gardens. At Toast, it’s a strong statement for non-corporate creative independence ably supported by The Beehive and Thelma Hubert Gallery!”

Fiona Page-Turner of THG commented “At THG, we always like to support local artists and makers and this is the perfect opportunity. Don’t miss the last day of our hugely popular photography exhibition in the gallery too!”

Wendy Van Der Plank from the Beehive said, “This is an exciting leap into Spring with loads of lovely local talents.  Hopefully our first collaboration will grow and evolve into an annual Honiton event”

The Spring Fair takes place on Saturday 22nd April from 10am to 5pm.

According to Arthur: 3.30pm – family show for 3 years+ at the Beehive Honiton. Tickets: Adult £8, U16 £6, Family of four £25.
