Update following the Government’s latest announcement

An update from The Beehive following the Government’s latest announcement about social distancing and the Coronavirus.

The Beehive building currently remains open although this is a rapidly changing situation, and we will post any updates onto our website as soon as we have them.

We are taking precautions to ensure the safety of staff, volunteers and visitors and working hard to keep the venue safe and clean. On arrival and departure to The Beehive, we ask that everyone follows government advice and washes their hands thoroughly or uses the anti-bacterial hand gel dispensed at reception. The safety of The Beehive volunteers, visitors and staff is of paramount importance.

We have taken the decision to suspend all events with immediate effect and we are working hard to reschedule these where possible. Please be patient and bear with us. If you have pre-booked tickets, they will be valid for the new date. If you cannot make the new date you may have a credit note. Refunds will be offered for cancelled events but if you are in a position to be able to consider donating some or all of your ticket price back to us you will be investing in the continuation of great events for the community.

We recognise that this is a difficult and challenging time for everyone. This unprecedented situation with no confirmed Government support will be hugely damaging for charities like the Beehive and now more than ever we value your support.

We are totally reliant on the income we derive through room bookings, event ticket purchases and income from our cafe bar. As a non-profit organisation, there is no insurance that will compensate us for this loss of income. With no local authority grants and spending cuts imposed on local councils, it is inevitable that we will become more reliant on philanthropic support and charity donations to get us through this difficult time. We would be very grateful if you would consider making a one-off or regular donation via our fundraising page www.beehivehoniton.co.uk/donate

Our aim has been to serve our lovely local community and beyond. We want to continue to do so and let’s hope we can pull through this together. Stay well and we hope to welcome you back soon.
