The Beehive is a smart, modern conference, meeting & event venue, built in 2014, and located in the heart of the market town of Honiton – with easy access by car, rail or air. Whether you’re looking for a venue to hold a conference, exhibition, a room for community activities, seminars, training courses, workshop or meeting, or wish to stage a live event, we have the space for you. With our 300 seat Auditorium, Function room, Café room and smaller meeting rooms to choose from, we can provide a suitable space and event support whatever your event.

THE JOANNA LEACH AUDITORIUM (236 M2) 18.15M X 13M
The auditorium on the ground floor is an incredibly flexible room with retractable raked seating and an integrated audio system. A large cinema screen is also available with a high-quality overhead projector. The room will accommodate 300 theatre style or 125 catered and has an optional stage available if required. The space can be hired for live events, community activities, dance classes, training seminars and conferences. This space is also suitable for trade shows, exhibitions and craft fairs.
THE LIZ TIRARD FUNCTION ROOM (56 M2) 8.5M X 6.6M
The Liz Tirard Room is on the first floor, accessible by stairs or lift, and is very light and airy with proportions that make it ideal for a number of set-up styles, with a maximum capacity of 40 in theatre set-up style. It has wood laminate flooring and air conditioning. It is ideal for seminars, meetings, training, functions, dance classes, rehearsals, and small live events. There is a variety of equipment from flipcharts to projectors available for hire.
THE HAYWARD ROOM (34 M2) 7.7M X 4.4M
The Hayward Room sits adjacent to The Beehive’s café area on the ground floor. It has wood laminate flooring, multiple power sockets, and is ideal for a training room, a break out room or meeting room. A very flexible room with a maximum capacity of 25 in theatre set-up style. There is a variety of equipment from flipcharts to projectors available for hire.
Prefer not to work from home? Enjoy the warmth and wifi at The Beehive and rent a desk for £10 an hour in the Hayward room next to the café. Includes a dedicated power socket, wifi, table and padded chair. Please call in advance to check room availability. Payment by card or cash on arrival.
MEETING ROOM 1
This room on the first floor is accessible by stairs or lift. It is ideal for team meetings, collaborative work, presentations and small events. The room comes with a noticeboard and is a very affordable option for a maximum of 12 people theatre style or 8 boardroom style.
The Beehive Café Bar can seat 40. It has free wifi and can provide teas, coffees, soft drinks, snacks, pre-arranged lunches and buffets at competitive rates.
